One Booster Cushion lifts you about 1 1/2 inches, and reduces the pressure on your spine. We have been using ours for several months and it still has kept its resilience and support-ability. The extra 1 1/2 inches lifts you quite a bit. My wife is 4'10" and it boosts her high enough for driving.  

Although the cushion is especially helpful to shorter drivers because it boosts you up, it also is comfortable for  drivers up to about 6 ft tall (like me) and still doesn't raise them too high in the driver or passenger seat.

For those who are very short, two booster cushions can be used together by placing the fabric side of one cushion against the fabric side of the other cushion. This resists slipping and allows the user to gain about three inches in height while sitting.
